Tailscale(my favorite VPN)

Tailscale

Tailscale is a VPN service that makes the devices and applications you own accessible anywhere in the world, securely and effortlessly. (source: https://tailscale.com/kb/1151/what-is-tailscale/)

            Tailscale Network Topology:

Figure 4 of how tailscale works (source: https://tailscale.com/blog/how-tailscale-works/)

·       The Topology above shows the basic tailscale network. In here tailscale coordination server represents the tailscale domain itself and the tailscale client represents the user connected to the tailscale server.

Use cases:

In here I used tailscale for several of my projects:

o   Noticed that all of that devices that uses tailscale including the one I used for                                              management and remote are also included in the admin console on the website.

o   The relay node also comes in handy when I want to managed different servers without installing tailscale in each one of them to save cost. In the relay node the server acts as a gateway subnet which allowed me to connect to them.

o   And one of the beautiful things about tailscale is the dns under the global nameservers, in here I was able to use the dns I have deployed in the relay to be used on my other machines as long as their connected to tailscale.
